Gig Harbor Civic Center Open to the Public - Face Coverings Required at all Times

The Gig Harbor Civic Center is open to the general public. All persons entering the Civic Center are now required to wear a face covering as directed by Secretary of Health Order 20-03.4.

Disposable face coverings are provided inside the front doors to the Civic Center.

City staff cannot provide in-person services to visitors who are unable or unwilling to wear a face covering. Please call (253) 853-8136 or visit for options to receive services over the phone or online.

Children younger than five years old are exempt from the requirement to wear a face covering; Children who are younger than two years old should never wear face coverings due to the risk of suffocation.

Face coverings must:

  • Fit snugly against the sides of the face;
  • Completely cover the nose and mouth;
  • Be secured with ties, ear loops, elastic bands, or other equally effective method; and
  • Include at least one layer of tightly woven fabric without visible holes, although multiple layers are strongly recommended.
