Annexations

With enhanced access and development interest, more and more property owners are considering annexation, be it for local land use control or urban services. To be considered for annexation, a property must be within the Urban Growth Area (UGA), an area designated by the County for urban development.

Comprehensive Plan

The City of Gig Harbor Comprehensive Plan was developed in response to the requirements of the Washington State Growth Management Act (GMA) and coordinated with the City's vision of the future.

Historic Preservation

The City of Gig Harbor adopted Historic Preservation Chapter 17.97 and became a Certified Local Government (CLG) to provide for the identification, evaluation, designation and protection of historic resources within the boundaries of the City.
