Pierce County Human Services and the City of Tacoma have received funding for rental and utility assistance for tenants impacted by COVID-19 and behind on rent.

COVID-19 vaccine may be available from Pierce County and Gig Harbor medical providers with limited availability. The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department provides official updates on vaccination availability and access.

Civic Center Closed to the Public

The Civic Center will be closed until further notice due to the on-going restrictions in effect caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Once a decision to re-open the Civic Center has been made, it will be announced in advance to the community.

City Council to Consider Amending Fireworks Ordinance

he Gig Harbor City Council will be considering amending the City’s Fireworks Ordinance at the April 12, 2021 City Council meeting. The proposal would amend the hours of allowable discharge from the current four days (July 1-4) to one day only - July 4th.
