The City is looking for volunteer applicants to serve on the Parks Commission.
The Parks Commission's role is to advise the Mayor and City Council on park and recreation facilities, open space acquisition and development, maintenance and operation of parks and recreation public facilities, operation of parks and recreation programs, and other matters as directed by the City Council.
Volunteer members must live within Gig Harbor city limits. Members serve three-year terms. The Parks Commission meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
Persons interested in serving must submit a completed application to Joshua Stecker, Assistant City Clerk, 3510 Grandview Street, Gig Harbor, WA 98335 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications may be obtained online or at the Civic Center, or by calling 853-7638. This a volunteer position not subject to compensation.
Closing date for applications is December 5, 2019.
