Residential Moratorium

Council Meeting Recap from June 11th, 2018


Per the direction given by the City Council, staff will be working on the amendments below.  A public hearing on these amendments will occur at the City Council meeting of July 9th, 2018.
1. Removing streams and critical area buffers from net buildable land calculations.
2. Removing the minimum residential densities in the R-2, RB-1, WR, WM, and WC zones and reducing the maximum density to 3 dwelling units per acre in the RB-1, WR, WM, and WC zones.
3. Requiring 15% significant tree preservation in short plats.
4. Requiring guest parking at a rate of 1 parking space per 4 dwelling units in residential projects with 10 or more units.
