Approval of Minutes: July 19, 2018
The Planning Commission will review and discuss with the public the three applications for comprehensive plan amendments, consider the criteria of approval under GHMC 19.09.170 and direct staff to prepare a formal recommendation on the following applications.
1. PL-COMP-17-0001: 2017 Comprehensive Plan Amendments. Review and update of the multiple Comprehensive Plan elements to address requested amendments from PSRC regarding consistency with VISION2040 and updates under the Growth Management Act. Includes a complete update the Transportation Element and adoption of the City of Gig Harbor Active Transportation Plan.
2. PL-COMP-17-0003: Water, Wastewater and Storm Systems Functional Plan Updates. Six-year update to the City’s functional plans for the water, wastewater and storm system, including updates to the City’s Capital Facilities Element to ensure consistency as required under state law.
3. PL-COMP-17-0004: Henderson Comprehensive Plan Amendment and associated Development Agreement. Private application requesting a land use map amendment from Residential Low to Residential High Transition. Additionally, the applicant has requested a concurrent development agreement to acquire additional density from adjacent properties.
